We are for everyone
Our People, Their Voices
Hear from some of our employees about how they feel about working at DLUHC.
My work involves working with different stakeholders to ensure the smooth passage of the Ground Rent Bill through Parliament. This includes preparing briefings and drafting speeches for the Minister. It’s very exciting as you can see the direct impact of your work live on Parliament tv!
To know that what I’m doing is contributing to something positive for millions of people around the country is so rewarding and motivating. I feel so lucky to be part of something like this straight out of university and working with really friendly, collaborative and welcoming colleagues. DLUHC truly is a great place to work.
The work we do is interesting and important: 92% of colleagues said they were interested in their work.
We like to collaborate on new ways of doing things: 91% of colleagues said that their manager is open to their ideas.
We are inclusive and genuinely care about our colleagues wellbeing: 91% also said that their manager is considerate of their life outside work.
Working as a Programme and Project manager within the Rapid response team never has a dull moment. We receive deployments that last around 3 months and this gives us a fascinating insight into different departments within DLUHC and the opportunity to work with so many amazing colleagues.
Alongside this we have a tremendous, ever growing, RRT team full of skilled and insightful individuals making our team productive but also a lot of fun to be part of.
Rapid Response Team
We are supportive: 92% of colleagues say that the people in their team can be relied upon to help when things get difficult.
For those looking to develop a career in policy delivery, this role gives an exceptional grounding in how to bring people together to scope and set up successful projects which deliver Ministerial priorities such as UK Shared Prosperity Fund and UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation and Learning Centre.
